it happened. It finally happened! I am so glad to see that the country woke up and did what was right. It makes me feel so much happier. What a relief. Especially after these crazy conversations i had today with a republican. She claimed Obama is the next Hitler and that he is going to get rid of the constitution. There was a lot more on top of that. I am just amazed. Amazed at all that crazy. And that was PURE crazy. I am glad that Obama won. I am glad that this will prove to our nation, and to the racist assholes out there, that yes a Black man is nothing to be scared of. He is not going to give our money to the ghettos and be a black panther state. He is not buddies with Ayers and Acorn did NOT get him elected. This is really what people think. He is not effecting your 401K, and he will not get rid of our freedom of speech or our right to bear arms. Maybe he should reinstate the draft. This will make everyone think first before reacting. He is not outsourcing our military to the UN. And no, the coal mines will stay where they are. And yes, his crazy minister will be crazy, but hell, don't we all know crazy? These are all things that were thrown at me today.
I told a friend of mine, whose father is a church organist. He knew a guy growing up from grade school to high school. This guy was the son of a mafia don. So does that make her father a mafia person? or do stuff that the mafia would do? No. He was and is a church organist. I met her father. He's really that. He is not mafia. just because you know someone does not mean you are that person.
All in all... i need sleep. I will sleep soundly. Might not want to wake up, in hopes it wasn't all a dream. I don't want to wake up to find that the states have changed, like the past 2 elections. But i am willing to take that chance. Here's to change! And thank you America for noticing that we needed this change.

YAY!!!!
although I was really looking forward to having you live with me!
What's really sad is how little I paid attention to or cared about our own election! Yours however, had me riveted for MONTHS.
Congratulations. I am not given to sentimentality with regards to politics. But this vote for change does represent something of a turning point.
Hoooooray!
I'm so happy. Virginia pulled it out for Obama! My vote actually counted for something! I'll completely ignore how close it was!
What a sight to see the Obamas and the Bidens on that stage after the speech in Chicago.
Also, Virginia threw out an asshole GOP senator who, as governor, repealed the state car tax which put a hurt on our schools. And in my district we might have ousted a turncoat weener of a congressman from my hometown. Still waiting on that result, but all in all, I'm feeling great today.
(sidenote: my "word verification" word is "werds")
