I don't have much to say.... I have been busy and that is just how my summers go. Lots of planning and anticipation for all the things I want to do. And of course, July flies by as usual. Where does all this time go? I think it is the planning that makes time happen faster. Filling up weekends with stuff to do. And just being able to hang outside. Tomorrow I am going camping and in two weeks going camping again, but this will be a hike in, set up tent and then climb Mt. Marcy, the highest peek in the eastern side. Tomorrow we will go for a hike, but just not as serious. It will be a great opportunity to see how our dog will handle the big mountain.
Every weekend gets booked up, but I can't complain. I think is one of the many reasons the anticipation of summer is huge. I have had my Mondays off from work, which sucks and doesn't. Since i have been working at WFMU, i been planning time on those days to go make my demo tape for an actual DJ position there. And self teaching makes you really need lots of time. Then those Mondays are also being used for those evil things you don't want to take time off of work to do, but they have to be done- going to the doctor and dentist.
As for the actual job working at the station, it's pretty cool. I got offered to produce the show that goes on after the one i work on. I have never done production before, but he said he would teach me. I am very tempted... but it is also the same time as my TKD classes.... what a dilemma. I'll figure it out. I am just a total sucker for learning. I want to learn as much as possible. And the more I know and learn, the better off I will be for my own show and making connections. Who knows what i will end up doing with all this. But we shall see. I figure I will ride the ride and see where it will take me.
As for my own artwork, well i have been lacking on that end a lot. So bad, i know. I just get obsessed very easily with other things. I find it to be a bad thing. I will become totally consumed with an idea or project. I wish I could just concentrate on one particular thing. Plus the fact that I live on the top floor of my building without air conditioning... and that damn room is soooo small! Makes it really hard to work in there. I know, it totally sounds like a lot of excuses, but they are realities.
So that is my update for now... We shall see what we can do
