Ahhh yes, the time of year where we try to fix all of our mistakes from the previous one by making these silly resolutions. I will be less fat or quit smoking or make more money. Lots are always a bit far fetched. Come on, we all want world peace, but we all know that isn't happening any time soon. Let's make a realistic list. One that we can look on and see if we are doing it. So, if you all see me not holding true to these, please say so. Seriously. I need to be held responsible.
Resolutions:
- I will make art. I don't care how lazy i am or what not, i will make at least one new piece every 2 months. Yep, that should be a total of 6 for the year. Big one, i know, but still doable.
- Blog more. I have been bad and need to be good. I will write more. I promise. i need to do it for my own sanity as well as using it as a board to bounce ideas off of. I need your comments and suggestions. Like, what are you thinking, that is a horrible idea. or that is interesting, please explain more.
- Be ready to take part of my community. I need to show art and meet fellow artists. This one will be the hardest for me. It's not like i don't go out and hang out in my community. It's more the putting my name out. I am kinda shy about that. I hate selling myself. it's hard and personal. This may be the one that i fail at. But i am going to try. And if i have someone other than myself depending on me to do this, i usually succeed. I just need you all to make sure i do it.
- Take over the world. Yeah well, i have to have one that is totally unobtainable. Just so i feel like yeah, i broke my new years resolution.
Well, those are them..... so let's see how i hold up.

I also hate selling myself and networking -- it is why I'm convinced I'll never make a career out of writing more creative than package inserts.
As for taking over the world, aren't we well on our way? ;)
