Ahhh, the wonders of your ears ringing, feet aching and being sleep deprived. What a great weekend. Saturday was insane. Woke up early to do the yard sale. They are such strange things. To see what people want of your junk and what they are willing to pay for it. Then you of course start to play games with yourself and see what you can unload or what the next thing to sell would be. It's always fun. Our friends showed up to sell some of their stuff half way through it. It was great to do the sale with them. Makes the day fly by. Plus it was fun to see what they are trying to get rid of as well. Kinda funny actually. They had an HBO pillow, yes, silk pillow with the characters from different shows on it. Now all of the shows are off the air. But it was funny to see if we could get someone to buy the pillow. it didn't happen. But still funny.
I had to run at the end of the sale to go to work. Yes, that is right, i said work. I had to help install an ice sculpture for a wedding at this restaurant named Country. The ice looked really good and I did what i do best...... schmoozed with the fellow vendors. Yep, i am a whore. I will slut myself out for sales. hehe. It's easy when you product looked as good as this.
Straight from the installation, i went to the show. It was crowded and insane. The opening act was nothing so great, but once Gogol Bordello showed up, it was chaos. Sweaty, packed, mosh pit, loudness. The versions of the songs they did were so great. After their 4th encore, they went nuts. The girl who has the drum, she had the crowd hold it up for her. Then she jumps up on the drum, standing on it pumping her arm in the air. Then she fell on it and starts to drum it all crazy. it was soooo fucking cool. It was madness on the stage. One of the better concerts i have seen in a while.
The next day was dealing with ringing ears, and little sleep. Still all in all, good weekend.
