Ahhh Stoop-id Sale

Man, my place is out of control. We have been selling so much of our stuff it's crazy. Sold our television last night. Sold a receiver the other day with a bass amp. It's crazy. For the love of craigslist. you could sell your grandma on there and people would respond and haggle you down in price.

I guess this is what one must do to get rid of stuff so a move won't be so painful. Fourth floor walk up..... yeah, i don't want to move lots of stuff i don't use up there. It's also kinda nice cause it's like clearing out your mind too. Getting rid of clutter. Maybe this will help me look around and not feel overwhelmed by everything around me. I think the move will do that too. New things to look at, new stuff on the walls......

It's also a great excuse for getting new stuff too! Since the desk that holds our computer is going out with the yard sale, a new one will need to be bought. GRANTED, now i won't have something for my computer to sit on until we DO move.... so that will be a bitch.

The one thing that will be a pain is the actual stoop sale. I remember having one when i lived in Boston and caught a woman stealing from the sale. She asked for the price of something and my response was- the books are 50 cents, the drill $25 and the whatever you put in your bag is another $5. Come on...... stealing from a yard sale?! Shit, i am giving the stuff away, almost. But it is always amazing to see what people want to buy from your stuff. I had one guy come up to the yard sale and pick up a Linus doll, pay for it and leave. He didn't even look around. It was as though that doll was meant for him. Then of course you start to wonder.... shit was that worth something?! Damn you Antiques Roadshow.

I guess i will have some good stories on Monday. I do have a busy day on Saturday. Lots of sales and then setting up ice then finally going to see Gogol Bordello. Woot!

Well! Look what I found! Now maybe you'll get some of your art online?
