ahhh the holidays

tis the whirlwind season where i lose my mind and totally flake on blogging. i am sorry. Work has been insanely busy and now it is letting up slightly. For turkey day, i had lots of family over and fed all 10 of us. Amazing for my little apartment. I wanted to not have to travel for one holiday at least. It burns you out quick. And the ones that did travel to us where all surprised at how shitty it is to travel on that day. Yeah, no shit it is. Now have some fucking sympathy on me the next time i say i don't want to travel. i have done it every freaking year.

I will be going down to Baltimore for xmas. My brother and dad are down there. my mom is even flying down for it, which is kinda a funny story. So my parents are divorced. They divorced the year after i graduated college. Guess they wanted to wait until the nest was completely empty. It was actually a clean divorce. No scorn or anything. Mutual feelings of love long lost. So that was about 10 years ago. I made xmas dinner last year and it turned out great. But for some reason my dad had it in his mind that it wasn't the dinner he wanted. He wanted the xmas dinner my mom used to make. My stuffing now has vegetables in it and is all healthy (spinach, corn, onions, pinenuts, and red peppers). He wanted my mom's stuffing. He wanted her food. So he actually got the balls up and invited her down for xmas. Told her that her boyfriend, who she is no longer with anyways, couldn't come and that she would make dinner. Now who in their right mind would say yes to this? My mom would. She is coming down. Strange, but whatever. it will be my first xmas in a while that has my entire family. wow, a really long time actually. even before my parents divorced, cause my brother was living in Puerto Rico at the time.

Interesting. So that is the craziness that i get to have fun with. I apologize again for my lack of entries. I am not good around this time of the year and tend to shut down. I promise i will try to be better come the new year. Who knows........... i may throw in a couple posts before the year is over.
