ohhhhh It's been a bit

So i was sicky for the past few days..... that sucked. staying up too late and not getting proper rest. Then this weekend was a whirlwind. It was a fun weekend and i look forward to ones like this every year. The local radio station, WFMU, which is awesome, has a record fair in the city. This station is listener supported and this is the one way that they get fund for the station. There is no commercial advertising for the station or sponsors, so the station gets to do what ever they want. They can play any type of music they want. And if you don't like it, just wait an hour or 2 and it will change. It's my dream to DJ on that station. I am kind of intimidated to ask, so instead, i volunteer every year for their record fair.

Now, this record fair is like a drug. Seriously. It is a huge room full of more records that you could even imagine. I spent a lot of hours there just flipping and flipping. Your eyes go cross eyed and you need to take breaks. Luckily they sell two wonderous things to keep you going....... Pizza and beer. Oh yeah. I have volunteered for this for maybe about 7 years and love to give back to a station that is so unique and wonderful. They play music that I have never heard before, and being an audiophile that i am, i am always looking for new music. From really old to modern..... just give me some good new music.

So after working the fair from 9:30 to 1pm, i went to shop it until 4pm. Then got dinner, cause i was about to pass out. Stupid me forgot my wallet and couldn't get breakfast or coffee in the morning. Bad start. But luckily, i was delivered my wallet, but that point it was shopping time. After dinner, or as i like to call it when it's early- Linner, came home, took a nap to get ready for the concert. I went to go see Gogol Bordello again. ahhhhh, yes. They are soo damn good. But i must say, the last concert i saw of theirs was better. Smaller venue. There were too many damn people there. And they didn't stand on top of the drum. I also had full view of 2 sixteen year old kids dry humping. it was disgusting. Seriously.... he was on her like a rabbit. LOL.

So it's been busy and I apologize for my lack of writing. I am back. I should be at least. Forgive me...... sicky and busy, bad combo. Interesting week coming up though.... Cirque Du Soleil premier that we are doing ice for, so i will have pics.
