Daily Show Fun

Ahhh, i love the Daily Show. It has to be the best non-news news show. Jon Stewart was hilarious. Luckily I made it.

So, i work out in Queens, one of the Burroughs of NYC. It sucks, but what can you do. Well, yesterday morning was raining like crazy and with lightening and thunder. For some retarded reason, the NYC subway system is a relic and is unable to function properly when it rains or immediately afterwards. Around 3 pm i make it to the station to head over to the show. I stood on the platform for about 20 minutes waiting for a train. Finally the train shows, packed full of people. We reach the last stop before you go underground and they tell us it's the last stop on the train and we have to transfer to the train on the opposite platform. Bloody hell. Well, we all pile into that train.

I am convinced that ever selfish stupid idiot was on my train. Usually always happens to me. We would hit stops and noone would move to let people off the train. Finally we make it to Times Square, my own personal version of hell. I loathe Times Sq. And of course i was in the heart of it. I had to run to catch one more train, and i waited and waited. By the time i made it above ground, it was 4:15. The trip that was supposed to take me 45 minutes took me double time.

So we stood in line and waited and waited. of course the friends i was going with were late. They are always late. And of course they were at the end of the line. So we were concerned that we weren't even going to make it in. Luckily cause of the bad weather, I think we were lucky.

We get inside and there really isn't any bad seats. It was pretty cool. The one thing that we were told was that we could not have our cell phones on or use a camera once inside. If you did, it would be taken away from you. Well, of course there was some asshole in front of us that was using his blackberry. And of course, he was asked to hand it over and the dude lost it. How dare you tell me to give you MY blackberry! So then he was told to leave and they did. Why the hell would you wait in line for over an hour to get kicked out? idiot. Then there was a scary couple from Trenton NJ. OMG, they were insane. they had cut out pictures of Jon Stewart's mom and pasted them on the cover of a newspaper.

The show was fun and it was great to see them fuck up and swear. Afterwards, we went for an awesome dinner at this little French place. It was soooooo good. And i knew the sister of the waiter too! All in all, for a day that started like shit, ended up rather nice.
