Busy Busy Busy

Wow, I have been busy, hence the lame postings lately. At least i have left you with interesting current event things. I am ready to collapse. I feel a possible cold trying to sneak up on me which sucks. I had that feeling for a while, but you know if you are too busy, they won't happen. It happens the second you can sit and relax. So alas, I am currently fighting this cold.

It's been busy since the show I had with my guitar piece. I haven't heard anything about the show since i was there. I have just been too busy to even swing by and check it out. The following weekend I went up to Massachusetts to go to my friend's wedding. It was a really great wedding. My husband was the best man and had known our friend Bob for 30 years. It was just an overall fun wedding. I knew it would be. I went to high school with him, but he was two years after me, so I didn't know their friends. But they all knew who i was, since i had been with my now husband since high school. I was known as the girl with the bright green eyes. Since i knew there would be old high school people, and most likely I went to school with their older siblings, I made sure I looked my best. I had to make sure I became the "token" wife. I think i did a good job. The whole affair was an entire weekend long, so there was not much free time.

Last weekend my mother came down to visit. This was not a crazy weekend, but I still had to entertain. Granted, I came back from Massachusetts on that Monday, had to go to a couple events during the week and then my mom showed up that Friday night. Not much time to get the house in order. Then of course a completely empty fridge. I think we had condiments.... that was about it. We took her around Jersey and just hung out watching the Red Sox play against the Rays. That game was good, as we had won, but the next night lost. Should have had my mom stay... maybe that is what jinxed it.

This coming weekend is the WFMU record fair. I am working it in the morning on Saturday, but i don't know if I feel up to actually shopping. Since working here, I get first dibs on all the new music, so I don't have much need for anything new. I am still not fully caught up on the stuff i have downloaded. But of course, I am a music junky, so I know once i am in there i will have that need/desire to rummage through. Ohhh record fair, how you make me need you..... I will also be board op-ing for Sunday.

So maybe one day i will get to sit and rest. Maybe clean up from my last sculpture project. Just so long that I don't get sick....
