So this week has been quiet. i have dropped off the sculpture and the owner of the store has been on vacation. So who knows, there could have been some buzz, but i have no clue cause the people that work there are oblivious. Next weekend is the big viewing, which will be nice to get some good critiques. I need me a good critique. I did get to see the other pieces. I must say, not to toot my own horn, that mine i like the best. I just took it further than the others. Granted, i have not fully seen all of the others. There was a leather piece that they covered the guitar in bits of leather. That was not too bad. There was one that sucked. SUCKED. I hate it. It is what i call the "T-Shirt" piece. They took a t-shirt, put it over the guitar and that was about it. Oh........... and painted the pick guard. There is a big bead at the end of the whammy bar and a big globe looking thing that was painted at the headstock. Now.......... it is called Mars, but as my friend Victor pointed out, it looked more like Saturn. Horrible piece. As for the others, I felt they were okay. I just kinda wished they made the guitars less playable and more interesting. Taken them out of the main field of vision, instead of making a funky guitar, make a piece of art. You know? Meh, what can you do.
