okay i love the following things:
* There is art in the hallways. Not some crappy ass art copies, but legitimate art. Real artists. And my floor has the best ones. There is a Claes Oldenburg and 2 Dennis Oppenheim's and an old Gulf Oil metal sign. It was a sign that i should like there.
* my landlord is an artist. He only really has tenants that are artists. He likes keeping it arty. When i moved in my art and framed pictures, he would look through them and make note of what you got. Kind of validates you somehow. Like, okay, you have good taste in art.
* I get good art vibes from the place. I look forward to making my studio what i want it to be and functional. Plus knowing i have a piece to work on and finish soon, that also helps.
* The apartment reminds me of some past places i lived in Chicago and Boston. I will walk around and a nice memory will pop in my mind.
* This place, once finally completed, will be awesome for entertaining. There is lots of space for people to mingle and sit. I can't wait to cook big tasty meals and have everyone happy. I love cooking big crazy meals for people. it is like some crazy challenge i put on myself. I have yet to fully fail. And hell, if i do, you make sure there is enough beer, booze and whatever else to occupy the mind of the guests.
* i love that my dog is happier. He runs back and forth between rooms and humps my pillow like crazy. Now the pillow humping i can do with out, but i know that means he's comfortable.

Humping dogs are funny. At my house now, the female humps the male, and the male looks all horrified and upset.
