Bon Jour from Montreal

Well, taking a break from walking all over the city. Actually got a laptop to write in. Though i didn't write yesterday, i was in a car for 6 hours, hung out with friends then came back to hotel room and PASSED out. I was under the weather yesterday. My throat hurt and all i wanted to do was sleep. i was exhausted. I do have a great story about me going to Palace Drugs before i left.

So this drug store is part drug store, part liquor store. It's a strange place with only a few things on the shelves. Well, i went in to pick up some last minute essentials before i left. I go up to the counter to pay and there is this old woman back there who knows everyone. Well, this old guy, guess he knows everyone there but doesn't work there, comes up to her behind the counter and asks her how her sex life is and if she is getting any. I giggle and pay no mind, but then he asks her, which i didn't hear, but she felt the need to tell me, if her man can still get an erection. So she then continues to tell me how bad this other old man is and he is behind her grinding up to her while she is talking to me. Then she tell us about an old boyfriend who had to use a pump that was implanted in him to get an erection. That was because he had diabetes and how that was the only way for him to get hard. So of course she is teasing the other guy saying he needs a pump to get it up and all this. I was dying. not dying of embaressment mind you, but dying of laughter. I just couldn't openly laugh, that is part of the problem. So she FINALLY goes to ring me up and says, i hope i didn't embaress you. I tell her, no worries, in my ripe old age of 33, i have heard it all, seen it all and am not surprised by anything. This woman was 75. I thought to myself, damn..... i hope i am that way when i am her age. I wanna be that old lady. I wanna be cracking jokes and getting hit on. It's great.

I did see a great sign on the way up, but will need to post it later when i get back. Betty Beavers Truck Stop. OH YEAH! Gotta love upstate NY. Hehehe.

I do love it up here. It is so beautiful and so European, without the travel time. I just wish i could speak french fluently. I say that everytime i come up here. But hanging out with my francophile friends makes me want to so badly. We had a late brunch on my friends deck, went to his studio that he shares. Recording studio that is. Then walked around. Lots of walking in this city. But i love it. Better than in the winter. Don't want to walk then........

Off to dinner i go. No picture for this post... but will have Betty Beavers up when i get back!
